Hett i hyllan #128 – The Science of Michael Crichton

Berömda författare och berömda böcker kan det också finnas böcker om. Ulysses som jag just håller på med att läsa är ett sådant exempel. Det finns väl hur mycket som helst skrivet om den boken. Men nu visar det sig att vi också har en bok i hyllan där delar av Michael Chrichtons författarskap diskuteras, The Science of Michael Chrichton. Jag har inte läst något av honom, men jag har förstått att det ligger en del kunskap på vetenskapliga områden bakom många av hans böcker. Den här boken är en antologi, redigerad av Kevin R. Grazier som arbetar på NASA och är vetenskaplig rådgivare åt tv-bolag som kör science-fictionserier.

Kanske är den här boken bara intressant för Michael Crichtonentusiaster? I alla fall bör man nog ha läst en del av hans böcker först. Att bara ha sett Jurassic Park räcker nog inte som motivering.
